CHOOSE LOVE IN EVERY MOMENT
Your every thought, word, and deed springs from either love or fear. The nature of your choices determines the quality of your life.
Love is the voice of your conscience, the whisper of the divine. Fear expresses itself as anger, intimidation, judgment, self-loathing, or any other emotion or behavior not grounded in love.
When you choose love, you are coming from your heart and declaring that you trust God to handle the consequences. When you choose fear, you are coming from your head and announcing that you can manage the situation better than God can.
Choose love, and you are being proactive. You are making things happen, living a life of choice, and getting better. Choose fear, and you are being reactive. You are letting things happen, living a life of chance, and getting bitter.
Choose fear, and peace remains a stranger. Choose love, and peace gathers you tenderly in its arms.
Love is the language of God. As a child...

Grow Up 2B A "Big Kid"
JUST DO IT! ~ Nike

Sami is an exceptional young girl, who by the age of seven was already an author and a speaker.
If today were my last day on Earth and I could share 500 words of brilliance with the world, here are the important things I'd want to pass along to others...
When I grow up I have decided to be a "big kid" instead of an adult.
What made me decide to do this?
I watch my mom and dad and all of their friends have fun, but I still think they are missing out on the good stuff kids get to do....
I think there should be an option to grow up but still do kid things. This would make the world a better place because everyone would be having fun.
In the world full of "big kids" everyone would get to do stuff like:
Play outside everyday. Don't just go outside, but kick a ball around or hoola-hoop in the yard.
Of course when you are outside, you should invite friends over to play too! How about a skipping contest or see who can hop on one foot longer? That is sure to make you smile.
Definitely wear comfortable clothes. Sometimes I see adults wearing fancy clothes and high-heel shoes and they don't look happy. Soft, colorful clothes and sneakers are great for everyone!
Put a brush th...

Many years ago I read the biography of Napoleon Hill. If you are not familiar with Hill; he is the author of one of the most influential books in history "Think and Grow Rich." This book is considered by many to be the precursor to the psychology of success programs we have today.
Napoleon Hill was a young writer commissioned by billionaire Andrew Carnegie to find out why people are successful. Carnegie was a billionaire at the turn of the century, so his wealth would exceed that of even Bill Gates today.
The question Carnegie wanted answered was, "Why are some people so successful while others who seemingly work just as hard never achieve a great level of success?" Carnegie told Hill that he would introduce him to the most successful men in the world. He would give him the opportunity to question them regarding their philosophy for business and life. There was one catch; Hill would not be paid one dime for the project.
Hill realized the magnitude of the opportuni...

Imagine being told that your life is going to end very soon. Then imagine being told that before you die you are going to become progressively disabled. This is what I was confronted with ten years ago. This is not the type of news that most people will ever have to deal with, thankfully. But everyone will be challenged in their lives at some point, either mentally, physically or both.
How should we deal with such challenges, especially life changing events? I believe that our biggest enemy is fear. It can totally paralyse a person and stop us living a full and contented life. We feel fear when our future becomes uncertain, perhaps because of illness or loss. The only way to dispel this fear is to live in the present at all times. Thinking about future, unpleasant possibilities will give your fear more energy and block positive thoughts. Easier said than done, I know. I've found that reiki, meditation and hypnotherapy are all good tools... along with some stubbornness!

If today were my last day on Earth and I could share 500 words of brilliance with the world, here are the important things I'd want to pass along to others...
The trouble with worrying is that it can get completely out of control and has a habit of escalating. Actor/director Woody Allen, a famous worrywart, illustrated this best when he said, "If I get chapped lips, I think it's brain cancer."
Worrying is a kind of "stuckness". Worrywarts get stuck in identifying danger as they immerse themselves in the dread associated with the threat, which may be real or, more likely, imagined."
Don't think worrying is bad for you. Think of it as a mental fire drill, a thinking through of things that potentially might happen. It's good to think over what could happen and to have a contingency plan. That is what productive and effective people do.
The problem is that the process generates anxiety. Worrywarts can become melodramatic and waste precious time. As American writer Mark Twain said, "There has been much tragedy in my life. And at least half of it actually happened!" Worrywarts can't live in ...

If today were my last day on Earth and I could share 500 words of brilliance with the world, here are the important things I'd want to pass along to others...
Ask yourself this question every day of your life, "Am I doing everything I could with everything I am given?" You want to be able to answer "Yes I am giving it my all".
No matter where you are, no matter what you've been through and no matter what takes place during your day, whether positive or negative, look to see where it serves you and your mission. It is never about what's going on around you, it is about what's going on inside of you that counts.
There are many times when it is easy to quit or give in to what others say you "should" be doing or what you "have" to do or what you "ought" to be doing. It is a matter of believing in who you are, what you are passionate about and what you are worth and what value you bring to the world.
If you know what you are worth then go out and get what you are worth and be willing to take the challenges that come your way and keep moving forward. It is a matter of being tru...

I've got 500 words.
I've got 12,258 days.
I know that because I've sat down and calculated when - statistically at least - I'm going to die.
I know this may strike some of you as a tad morbid. But a memento mori is a time honored tradition - if you see a skull in a 17th Century painting, that's what that's all about.
But back to me.
September 15, 2043 is the big date.
Let's say that gives me 33 years or so left to kick around this planet of ours, with 42 years already under my belt.
Stewart Brand - author of a range of terrific books including Whole Earth Discipline - says that it takes about five years to do a big project, a Great Work Project.
That's mastering a role, writing a book, starting a company, whatever it might be for you.
So that gives me six, maybe seven big things left to do.
If, that is, I step up and take on the challenge.
If I don't drown in busywork and spend the next thirty years thinkin...

I believe every person and organization has a unique destiny, vision and purpose. We are all here because our presence on the planet is essential at this extraordinary time in history.
I believe that opening to a vision creates a synergy that is powerful and dynamic. There is a vibrant mission that is calling us all to higher ground and to more deeply loving and profound experiences.
I believe that each person and organization has a unique capacity to be of service to the community and world at large. Our only job is to uncover our core power, gifts and talents and activate a willingness to serve in expansive ways.
I believe there are no obstacles to our greatness. There has never been an event that defines our future. We have never experience anything that can stop us from soaring into a greater yet to be. The only limitations are created in our thinking. There are exciting experiences awaiting us, the moment we look at life through the lens of infinite possibilit...

"Go for it!" Why should we "go for it?" Why should we make the transition from dream to memory? We should take action to define who we are. Life is a series of memories. We cannot view our life with our eyes, or touch it with our hands, but we can solidify it through our memories. When we take action we reinforce what is important to us, and create a memory. Our memories document our life and give us a unique perspective on our thoughts and experiences. For instance, when we engage in community service we help others while establishing memories of people, places and things.
Each one of us has personal interests. Pick something that you care about and do something about it. Every action we take changes the world a little bit, and also makes memories. One way to make lasting memories is to pursue your passions. It does not matter what the passion is, as long as it has a positive influence. You may be committed to feeding the hungry, or playing a sport, or sp...

As I sit reminiscing over my life and the profound words of wisdom I would like to share with all of humanity, they would be the pearls of wisdom that I govern my life by.
Live purposefully: Are you living your purpose? Are you living your making or simply making a living? If you are not passionately pursuing your purpose then you are not living at all, you're only existing.
Give gratefully: There is enough to go around. The only walls of lack and limitation are the ones that we build ourselves. The universe is abundant and honors a cheerful giver. Give what you have to those in need knowing that all that you stand in the need of will come to you ten- fold.
Love unconditionally: Learn to live and let live by accepting people as they are and not who we want them to be. We are all here in this journey called life, learning our lessons as best we can.
Think abundantly: As a man thinketh, so is he! You can have, be or do all that you desire to have, be or do. Sto...

My message to the world comes down to one word: try.
In my lifetime, I have seen too many people afraid to try; too scared to try new things, to try new places, to try meeting new people. Watching them place needless limitations on themselves meant, sadly, watching human potential go wasted. Great ideas, solutions and relationships were never realized or even attempted because they were too reluctant to try. They feared what others may think, they doubted their own abilities or they feared what may or may not happen.
Yet, trying can be liberating, empowering, and even exhilarating.
Trying leads to discoveries - discovering abilities and strengths that you didn't know you had, discovering your own beliefs and values, and discovering what the big, amazing world is all about.
Trying builds confidence and belief in yourself, even when others may doubt you.
Trying means starting, somewhere, anywhere, and then proceeding one step at a time, no matter how...
